Living a holy lifestyle takes place from the inside out, through the power of the Holy Spirit. The Bible uses many terms to describe holiness, but “holy” comes from the Greek word "Hagios", which means “a saint, a holy one, pure, blameless and concentrated." In 1 Corinthians 1:2, Paul tells us that we are sanctified in the Spirit the moment we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior. But Paul also stresses progressive sanctification in the soul [mind, will and emotions] to fully reap the blessings and rewards of being joined with Christ and living according to His will. Holiness is where God places man through His grace, and He has supplied every provision to those who choose salvation through the blood and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Today’s message offers a deep dive into understanding the nature of God’s holiness, and how you can strengthen your faith in that holiness and sanctification.
