190 - Twelve Levels of Faith #1

In this powerful Abounding Love podcast, I begin a two-part series on the Twelve Levels of Faith from the KJV Bible. We'll cover six (6) levels in this episode. Level #1: No Faith [Deuteronomy 32:15-20; Mark 4:35-41]; Level #2: Little Faith [Matthew 6:30-33; 14:25-31]; Level #3: Weak Faith [Romans 4:19-22]; and Level #4: Shipwrecked Faith [1 Timothy 1:18-20]. These first four levels aren't any kind of faith worth having, Amen? Level #5: A Growing Faith [2 Thessalonians 1:3; Romans 10:17]; and Level #6: Unfeigned Faith [sincere, not fake; 1 Timothy 1:5-7] begins your victorious faith walk.
It helps to increase your faith by understanding Hebrews 11:1: "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." God's Word gives your faith substance [essence or reality] of things hoped for [confidence it will actually happen]. It gives evidence [assurance or proof] that what is unseen is real. Are you trusting in God and His Word, or looking at the situation or circumstance? Hebrews 11:6 says, ". . . without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." We see from this verse alone how necessary faith is in the life of the believer. 215 - What it Means to Believe

In this exciting Abounding Love episode, I share that we must believe in what Jesus Christ did in order to be saved. That is, believe that He came to seek and to save the lost [Luke 19:10], believe in His death, burial and resurrection, and our personal resurrection in Him. We share this Good News so others hearing it will also believe and gain all the benefits their belief in Christ secures for them. Belief means to trust in Jesus Christ alone [Ephesians 2:8-9]. We trust that Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil [1 John 3:8], and that He did so. King David wrote: "Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the LORD our God" (Psalm 20:7, KJV). David knew you were going to trust in something. It's better to be in prison and saved, carrying out my calling, than to be out of prison and unsaved. There's no way to place value on our salvation. It's priceless! And it can only be obtained through believing in Jesus Christ and what He did [Romans 10:8-13]. Our salvation is priceless, because it's eternal. It outlives our life on earth. We enter into His rest believing His plans for us are guaranteed and unending [Matthew 11:28-30; John 14:1-3]. 214 - Salvation and Good Works

In this Abounding Love episode, I share how a lot of people don't know where "good works" fit in the Christian life. Some people believe they're saved by being good. Be good; you'll go to heaven. Don't be good enough; you'll go to hell. This thinking is false. We're not saved by what we do, but by what Jesus did. "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9, NKJV). Our "good works" are the results of what Jesus is doing in our lives today. If "good works" could get us to heaven with God, how many does it take to qualify? Just how good [righteous] do I have to be to gain eternal life with God? This is the age-old question of every religion on earth. Even Judaism follows the idea that one has to perform commandments to be right with God, plus follow rules for how to keep them. But, Spiritual Christianity does not emphasize "good works" as a means to obtain eternal life. If "good works" could save you, there would be no need for Jesus. His death, burial and resurrection would be meaningless. It is God's desire that people believe solely in Jesus Christ, and His finished works for salvation. Join me as we look at other Scriptures, such as John 6:28-29; Romans 4:3-6; 1 Corinthians 3:5-15; Galatians 2:16; 3:10-14; 5:4-6; Colossians 1:9-12; 3:17; 2 Timothy 1:8-9; 3:15-17; Titus 2:6-15; 3:1-11 and James 2:14-24, plus the role "good works" play in our lives. 213 - Salvation is by Faith

In this Abounding Love episode, I share that Jesus brought spiritual and physical salvation through faith in His death, burial and resurrection. As prophesied by Isaiah, ". . . with his stripes we are healed" (53:4-5; Matthew 8:14-17; 1 Peter 2:24). We are liberated from sin, the flesh, the Devil and death. Jesus said, "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (John 10:10, NKJV). We not only have eternal life in heaven, but abundant life in our born-again Spirit now by faith alone in what Jesus did at Calvary. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9, NKJV). A women anointed Jesus with perfumed oil and washed His feet seeking salvation. He said, "Your faith has saved you. Go in peace" (Luke 7:50). We'll also look at the story of Cornelius in Acts, chapters 10 & 11, whose household was saved, after they believed the words of Peter [11:14]. God ". . . sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction" (Psalm 107:20). Join me as we increase our faith from Scripture in the book of Matthew, John, Peter, Jude and the Epistles of Paul. "So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News of Christ" (Romans 10:17, NLT). Selah!

210 - Sinners Will be Judged

In this Abounding Love episode, I share that Jesus didn't come to judge mankind, but ". . . to seek and to save that which was lost" (Luke 19:10, NKJV). "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved" (John 3:17, NKJV). Most people don't believe solely in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ for salvation. Without that belief; that faith; that Jesus died for our sins and rose again, there's only judgment left. But know, ". . . that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Romans 10:9-10, NKJV). However, there's judgment coming for everyone who does not believe. Jesus said, "He who rejects Me, and does not receive my words, has that which judges him -- the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day" (John 12:48, NKJV). The Word will be the Judge. Jesus is "The Word." The apostle John ". . . saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And the one who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood and His name is called The Word of God" (Revelation 19:11-13, NKJV). John goes on to say "the armies in heaven" are accompanying Jesus to execute judgment in the earth. These "armies" are described as believers. Join me as we look into these Scriptures and many more, concerning the final judgment of mankind. Selah!

119B - Steps to Your Ministry #6

In this Abounding Love episode, I finish up this six (6) part series with "Steps to Your Ministry #6," on "Spending Time in Prayer." Although prayer is the last step in the series, it should be first and most important in our life. This is what the apostle Paul tells us: "Therefore I exhort first of all supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men . . ." (1 Timothy 2:1, NKJV). When we put prayer first, we put God first, and His will first in our life. Then, the Holy Spirit and the love of God becomes first. We're seeking an answer from God in the form of wisdom or an action by Him. So, we could say we're putting God's answer first in our life. We're to have faith in God's answer, not the problem we're praying about. Join me as we build our faith from these Scriptures [Ephesians 1:17-23; 2:1-6; Hebrews 4:16; 11:6; Romans 1:16-17; 14:23; James 1:5-8; 4:2; Mark 11:23-24; Matthew 6:8-10; 1 John 3:22; 5:4; 14-15], and develop a new way to pray -- with faith in His answer, not the problem. 119A - Steps to Your Ministry #5

In this Abounding Love episode, I continue a six (6) part series on "Steps to Your Ministry." I've covered Step #1 on dedicating your life entirely to be used by the Master; Step #2 on having a singleness of purpose to spread the Good News; and Step #3 on overflowing with the power of the Holy Spirit. But, Step #4 on ministering with a sanctified heart and mind, wouldn't digitize clearly, so instead, meditate Psalm 119:9-16; John 15:3; 17:17; Romans 15:16; Ephesians 5:26; 1 Thessalonians 4:3; 5:23-24; 2 Timothy 2:20-21 and 1 Peter 1:22-23. 
In this "Steps to Your Ministry #5," I share on looking unto God's Word day and night. We look at the story in Luke 10:38-42 of Mary and Martha, who is concerned with everyone serving the Lord, while Mary is sitting at the feet of Jesus. Are you setting at His feet listening to His Word; or is your mind preoccupied with service related things? Many things are needed, especially service, but Jesus says, "Mary has chosen that good part." Have you chosen that "one good part?" Are you hearing the Word of God, and acting on the Word? Are you becoming one with the Word of God in your life? Is your foundation built upon the Rock, which is the Word of God? A foundation built on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ is what choosing the "good part" is all about. Join me as I discuss choosing that "good part," exploring these Scriptures [Proverbs 4:7; 20-27; Joshua 1:8; 24:15 and Psalm 1:1-3], and discovering the truth. Selah! 116A - Steps to Your Ministry #3

In this Abounding Love episode, I continue a six (6) part series on "Steps to Your Ministry." Step #1 was on "Dedication, " and Step #2 on "Your Purpose," along with five goals to get results. In this "Steps to Your Ministry #3," I share on "The Leadership of the Holy Spirit." He empowers us to reach the lost, defeat the devil and equip people for ministry [Mark 16:15-18]. In the book of Judges, we find the story of Gideon, ". . . the Angel of the LORD appeared to him, and said to him, 'The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor'" (Judges 6:12, NKJV). The Angel tells Gideon that the LORD is with him. But Gideon question this; if the LORD is with him, then why are there no miracles and no deliverance, like in the past when God saved Israel from Egypt. Gideon states that the LORD has "forsaken Israel." "Then the LORD turned to him and said, 'Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you" (Judges 6:13-14, NKJV). God empowered Gideon to defeat the enemies of Israel. Likewise, Jesus has sent us, saying, "Go preach the gospel" and defeat the enemy! Unlike Gideon, we have the Holy Spirit living in us as born-again believers (1 Peter 1:23). Jesus, our example, being led by the Spirit, overcame the temptation of the devil [Luke 4:1-15]; the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life [Genesis 3:1-7; 1 John 2:15-17].
